Abstract
Por segundo año consecutivo, producto del esfuerzo de las y los estudiantes de las carreras de Antropología, Arqueología, Sociología e Historia de la Universidad Central del Ecuador, Universidad Politécnica Salesiana y Pontificia Universidad Católica, se realizó el II Encuentro Universitario "Semana de Ciencias Sociales: un espacio de interdisciplinariedad", para construir una nueva forma de ver y ser parte de la Academia. Intentamos abrir una puerta para la producción teórica desde los y las estudiantes ajustados a las realidades y experienciasconcretas de nuestro entorno. A lo largo de la semana se trabajaron varias temáticas articuladas en torno al eje de la interdisciplinariedad, como forma de cooperación y relación entre las ramas de Ciencias Sociales. Se incluyen también temas relacionados con la Epistemología, Género, Arqueología, dinámicas y percepciones en cuanto a lo urbano y lo rural, además de los movimientos sociales y el poder constituyente, la marginalidad y el patrimonio. La música, la danza y el teatro tuvieron su lugar como expresiones complementarias. El encuentro pretendió responder a un vacío fundamental: la necesidad de construir una propuesta propia en torno a las Ciencias Sociales, tanto para la producción de teoría y conocimiento, cuanto para su compromiso real con la política, la sociedad y la cultura de nuestro país.
